The Portuguese Badminton Federation will organize the 7th edition of the Badminton Summer Camp from the 22nd to 26th July 2024 at the Badminton High Performance Sports Centre in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, with bi-daily practice sessions combined with fun activities and we look forward to welcoming you.
Practice sessions will be guided by the Portuguese National Team Coaches (Diogo Silva and Fernando Silva) and by guest coach Judith Meulendijks (NED).
Judith Meulendijks
Judith Meulendijks is a dutch former player that won the Dutch National Badminton Championships three times in the Women’s singles category (1996, 2008 & 2012) and the Women’s doubles two times (2006 & 2007) with Brenda Beenhakker. In 2007, she won the gold medal at the European Junior Championships in the girls’ singles event. She has more the 10 victories in international tournaments on the Would Tour and her best BWF World Ranking was #10. In 2000, she competed at the Sydney Olympics in women’s singles and was beaten in round of 32 by Ye Zhaoying, of China, 11-3, 9-11, 11-7. Judith Meulendijks was a part of the Dutch team who won the 2002 bronze and 2006 silver at the Uber Cup. She was Assistant National Coach for the Senior National Team in Switzerland from 2014 to 2019. From Switzerland she went to Denmark to became one of the coaches of BEC Centre of Excellence until July 2020. Currently she’s Slovak National Head Coach and responsible for the national U17, U19 and Senior Teams.
Badminton Summer Camp is an opportunity for players born between 2001 and 2009 who practice at least 5 hours a week and compete regularly in national competitions and want new practice experiences. This training camp is also open to coaches who wish to develop their knowledge of methodology and training organization.

Player – VII Badminton Summer Camp | 250€: Accommodation (Bed and Breakfast in double/triple room), lunch, dinner and snacks in the Venue Restaurant, practice sessions, shuttlecocks, transport to/from hotel/venue, fun activities and insurance included.
Coach – VI Badminton Summer Camp | 300€: Accommodation (Bed and Breakfast in double/triple room), lunch, dinner and snacks in the Venue Restaurant, practice sessions, shuttlecocks, transport to/from hotel/venue, fun activities and insurance included.
